About Prem Rawat
Prem Rawat, also known as Maharaji, left his native India at the age of 13 in 1971. Since then he has regularly traveled the world speaking about the possibility of inner peace. He teaches, free of charge, practical methods by which people can discover peace and fulfillment within themselves.
In 1982 he abandoned the aspects of the Indian culture popular with many of his students at that time. He also disbanded the organization which had been assisting his work and began taking his message to mainstream society.
